The Walks & Marquee

Gray’s Inn gardens are the perfect summer party venue in Central London. Known as The Walks, they were originally laid out in 1608 by the then Treasurer, Sir Francis Bacon, whose statue can be seen in the South Square.

The Walks remain among the largest private gardens in London: five acres of perfectly maintained park entered through a pair of impressive iron gates. The park provides a peaceful oasis amidst the busy streets of Central London and is available throughout the year for weddings, summer parties and receptions.

During the summer The Walks are equipped with a luxury and modern marquee which is equipped with air-cooling, dance area, bar, bathrooms and wooden decking. The versatile structure holds endless opportunities for a wide variety of summer events.

The marquee is available to hire for special occasions from birthday parties to bar mitzvahs and wedding receptions. There is so much opportunity to decorate the marquee with lighting, decor, flowers and more, helping make your day even more special. We work with some excellent suppliers who would be happy to create bespoke proposals based on your requirements.

The marquee is the perfect location for a summer wedding reception – set in one of the largest private gardens in London! Outside of June or July, the Walks is a perfect drinks reception and photo backdrop to add to your celebrations inside the venue.
